GDPR
Data Protection and GDPR
To meet the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which came into force in May 2018, all organisations handling personal data, including trusts and schools, need to have the right governance measures.
Use of Photographs and Videos
We regularly take photographs of our pupils as part of our public duty.
We may use these images in:
- Our prospectus
- Other printed publications that we produce
- Newsletters
- Displays around the school
- The school website
- Social media platforms
Photographs of children are used for their learning experience and to show educational activities and achievements.
We may also make video or webcam recordings for educational use.
Media Coverage
Occasionally, the media will take photographs or film footage of a school profile event.
Pupils will often appear in these images.
Safeguarding and Image Use
We are aware that it is essential that photographs are taken and stored appropriately to safeguard the children in our care.
We take our duty of care towards our school community very seriously. It is of our upmost importance.
If you have any safeguarding concerns regarding personal images and information being displayed, please do contact us so that we can respond appropriately.
